I want to use it in RYL2, but the server that I play, hide the process Client.exe like I saw in 1 of my old posts...

Someone know how to open the process, even if it is hidden?

Check the guide I posted in the Other MMORPG's section.

I'm having trouble locating the pointers for the game RYL2 (Risk Your Life 2), I get thousands of results and the only green results are nowhere near the closest to 0. And on top of that the lowest value I can find is -352, but there are over 10 results with -352. How do I know which one it is?

when u click on open process, tick the All button. then u can see all the processes including the hidden ones. there will be 3 or 4 u can choose from for each process, click on one of the middle ones to attach, i usually do the 3rd one down, but i dunno how it is for RYL since i dont play it.

trial and error. its frustrating but when u finally get it, its all worth it.

OK ...this is getting compkicated...
Why dont ppl just make a bloody viedeo
rather than wrighting tutorials...
its about 1000000000000 times easier and faster ,
there is no gone to be any mystakes...
Pll tutorials are for the 1s that have expiriance ...
if you dont know NOTHING
and i mean NOTHING not even the slightest thing
using the MHS , then there is no way you are going to understand
a tutorial , i friend of mine helped my using a video and
i undestaned how to use the searches in 2 minutes...
I need more than 2 hours of thinking to just understand
the tutorial, and i dont count the hours trying to do it my self ..
PLZZZ MAKE GOD DAME VIDEOS AND THEN PLACE TUTORIALS
JESUS

Why such in a hurry ?
Took me about 2 weeks just to fully understand one layer pointer, and
another 1 week for multilayer pointers. I’m not smarter than anyone here.
Nevertheless , the learning process have always been fun..

Just try to deal with easier things first. You have to learn to stand and walk
before you can run... (unless you’re superman)

No offense. Peace..

none offence taken WhiteHat

It is just , if you can do something better
from making a tutorial wrighten , just do it ..
and if you can accelerate the learning speed
do it , beacuse us every1 know TIME is
the only thing that truly matters.
Use it wisely , so plzz do tutorials in video
form , so that we can understand quicly and help to...

I’m using a 5 years old PC and slow internet connection,
thus i don’t think i’ll be the one who’s gonna make that
video tutorial you want...

Let’s hope someone is going to make it for this forum..

This method of pointer searching is fairly easy, although, sometimes the results can be very inaccurate and this may take a bit of extra time. But, you should only do this as a last resort, for example, there's an anti-cheat software that's not allowing you to attach the debugger. A better and more efficient way would be to use 'Find what writes to this address'. Maybe you'll need to read the MHS help file too, in the 'Pointers' section to get a better understanding of pointers and how they work and what they do.

I understood this tutorial the first time around, but sadly didn't get it to work the way I needed it to because of something outside of this tutorial. I was given some information to help my needs, but found this tutorial VERY useful. Just take your time with it and try to do it step by step with what you are doing and what step you are on. If you get lost or something goes wrong just take it back a step (or start over) if necessary. Always remember that hacking/coding is not going to be a quick and easy process until you get some more experience, and then there are always even more advanced things that won't be very quick or easy. Just take it slow and you'll get there.

Well, okay, maybe so. Although, you still need to learn to read text and understand them better, because sometimes there might not be an available 'video' tutorial. Plus, this 'tutorial' has images, so, this should have been clear already and understandable.

If not, I'd suggest you to search around using a search engine and find more 'in-depth' pointer tutorials on how they work, what they do and how to properly find them using different methods (advancing from easy to more advanced difficulties).

Because when you start to learn programming languages, you'll be better off reading books from local libraries or wherever and therefore, a 'video' might not be available for that sort of resource and you'll just have to learn from text, which is fairly simple, you just need to understand it. As 'hacking' isn't an easy and simple thing, finding pointers is in the 'basics' section, really. There are even more advanced things as you get further into 'hacking', it takes time, so, do things slowly and try to understand them better and get it through!

I’m sorry if i miss-understand what you’re capable of DarkZero...

For better basic understanding of what a pointer is can be found in:
MHS Help file > Miscellaneous > About Pointer

There you can find an excellent explanation of a pointer really is,
written by L. Spiro himself..

i was trying to do the same as you did in the guide with halo.
i found my ammo address.
then i found the first one, but then my address was very strange, 0F and then not even a zero.

so if someone wants to help me with this, reinierl33t@live.nl

anywayz i understand how to, but to do it, it's hard. :p

Thanks Josese for the tut. These tuts are meant as a stepping stone for people out there. They don't mean you will be able to hack every game now. If anyone finds a flaw in a tut, they should also put how to solve it flaw. See too many people quick to knock people's tut but haven't attempted to write a tut them self.

Interesting, I thought it was possible to automate the search for the base address? I thought Cheat engine or something had that feature I could be mistaken. I thought it was a little hard to understand, but it is exactly the type of the I'm working on learning right now.

Thanks !
