Patching a graphic issue in a game

Postby martix » Thu Jun 10, 2010 11:56 am

I have an issue with a couple of games(the KotOR's) and their engine.
There's this technique they use called Vertex Buffer Objects that's supposed to improve performance. And it does - in some cases. You see - the thing is - when it loads a level and these "objects" are enabled, FPS bogs down to the lower part of the single digit numbers. And when I go to the graphics options and tweak something - i.e. make the engine reinitialize or whatever it does in this case, the issue disappears.

Now, I was thinking of fooling around with MHS to resolve this issue, either by auto LS Scripts or an exe hack or something that causes the same procedure that occurs on settings chance to happen also when loading a level.

Problem is I don't even know where to start figuring this out. I need help from the innies around here(ideas, links to resources, explanations, etc...).
