Finding static pointers in LineageII

Postby achnorr » Wed Oct 28, 2009 4:12 am

Hi, I'm trying to find a pointer in the game Lineage 2 but fails all the time.
The problem is that I can't attach the debugger cuz of the gameguard, and the pointer scan function seems give me the wrong adress. For example, when I have found the adress,0x0E3E369C, I do a pointscan with the option "Only static pointers" for the value 0x0E3E0000 to 0x0E3E369C and taking the first and only adress which is 0x01BD57A8 containing the value 0x0E3E0D70. This would give me a offset of 292C and a well working pointer but next time I restart the game the pointer reference to the same adress as before but with a strange new value.
Is there any other way to find a pointer or can someone help me with this :)?

is the pointer address you find green or black?

If its black then its a multi pointer, and you need to do the same process over again but with that address. look up MultiPointers in the search.

The adress is green.
Is it possible that the game uses some sort of algorithm or function to calculate the adress ?
It seems that the value is stored in a adress which always start with E and ends with 369C. Sometimes
it's in the same adress as before the restart but not always.
Code: Select all
0x0E41369C
0x0E42369C
0x0E46369C
0x0E40369C
0x0E3D369C
and so on...

Unless you have a bypass, I do not think you are scanning the game's RAM. You are probably scanning the RAM of MHS.
