I assume that means you figured out all other issues, so to answer this one:
ok now only one thing remains String is same thing as text right?

Yes.

ty ty....
yea i pretty much figured out all things...
btw i like your engine...
took me awhile to actually find this site and the engine though...
you kept it nice and quiet....

i got one more question...

is ASCII just plain old text or you got to do something with the text before you type it in or something?

cause i searched something that was supposed to have results yet it says no results found...

___________________________________-

ummm.....
i think i know the answer...
ascii is just text...

but something is weird with this..
i always come up with no results....

am i doing something wrong or does this not work with rakion?

or do i have to change something in the settings?

ASCII is plain text.

Your game probably uses Unicode, so use that instead.

You type the same thing.

any other ideas?

The string in the game is probably stored in a way that works well with a custom character set they might be using.
If you don’t know the format for that, you can’t find the string.

i dunno.....
all i know is that.....
i used to use a cheatengine to hack...
which is originally made by darkbyte...

but for now they r all detected so im trying to figure out how to hack with this..=/

and when using cheat engine i just set it to text value and search for the text..

so yea....
does this information help you think of a way for me to get some results?

Uncheck Match Case.
Uncheck Match Whole Word Only.
Uncheck Aligned.

Type the string you want to find and then search for ASCII.
If ASCII fails, use Unicode (do not change anything else; just switch to Unicode and search again).

If Unicode fails, use Wildcards. See the included Help File.
So for example if the string has the words “has gained” in it, search for *has gained* (yes including the * [astericks]).

Regular expressions offer the next level of string searching, and if this fails you can always use Script Searches.

btw i have been wondering this for a while...
why are these forums so un active?

____________________________________
my question above this line still remains unanswered...

also i just tried unicode..
and wild card..

still no results....=/

i don't know how to use regular expressions...
i'm not so good at hacking...
im sort of a beginner at this...

im also not familiar with script search as well.....

but not only is the text searches not giving me results...=/

i can't find numbers that should have results...

........................
searching numbers im pretty sure im doing it right..

cause on the cheat engine..
the setting is 4 bytes
then i search the value..

so on this..
i just use long...

but on CE i get from 3-10 results...
on this none...=/

help plz.....

why are these forums so un active?

Because I don’t spend much time advertising and my software is “newish”. It takes time to build a large forum, but you can help by telling others about the software.

help plz.....

Do your searches instantly return with 0 results? Or do they take a few seconds and then return.
Does the Hex Editor show red FF’s instead of blue?
Most likely your game is using a protection that revents my software from being able to read its RAM. I can fix this with a kernel-mode function I have already written, but it is not tested yet. I can test and add it if there are no bugs in it.

However, in the meantime you should do a few test searches in other software.
Even in MSN or Minesweeper.
Search for strings you see and search for numbers. This allows you to see how the software behaves in normal conditions and allows you to gain experience in hacking that will help you more when I get the device driver ready.

...
i tried mine sweeper way before i even tried your software on rakion...

and it works fine..
better then any other..
so i have faith that it will work with rakion too...

but umm...
your program less then a second comes up with no results...
most of the time....

the FF's thing i will have to check.....

but if this helps at all...
i search with the unknown value function and it shows up with 20k+ results...

so yea....=/

_______________________________---

ok i checked
the FF's in

tools ----> Hex editor

is either dark blue or black not sure....

and i also went to Ram Watcher in tools..
it showed up with a list of some addresses maybe or something..

with lots of N/A next to them....

and by FF's in Hex editor you mean inside the larger window right?

most of the time....

i search with the unknown value function and it shows up with 20k+ results...

Then you might need to change the search range.
It defaults to 00400000. Change it to 00000000.

is either dark blue or black not sure....

There is no dark-blue or black.
The Hex Editor shows red, light blue, white, and grey.
You would probably benefit from reading the help file.

and by FF's in Hex editor you mean inside the larger window right?

Yes.

i did look at the help file...
and the FF's are grey.....

and ok.....
let me change the search range....

but search range on CE's is
00400000 - 003FFFEFF

not sure bout second value but its somthing like that....
and i tried that before same thing its at 20K results...
let me try 00000000.....

_________________________-

one more thing....
in Hex Editor...

is like the whole left portion of the large window suppossed to be all just tons of "FF"......?
and next to it as well theres pretty mjuch nothing...

so yea..
whats that mean....
i remember that someone told me once before there were supposed to be a whole bunch of different characters in there.....=/

and the FF's are grey.....

What is the color behind the FF’s?

is like the whole left portion of the large window suppossed to be all just tons of "FF"......?

No. There should be tons of characters and various things in there.
As I originally suspected the game has a protection that does not allow reading of the game RAM by my software.
I can fix this with the device driver as I mentioned before but it will be a little bit.
