unable to unlock buttons

Postby hanako » Mon Oct 27, 2008 10:23 pm

hi guys, i've tried to unlock a button which enables me to edit skins made by others in a game i play. I've unlocked it successfully before in the past, not long ago. This method is only known by me and noone else as this game is pretty unpopular.

You see, the skin made by others is not allowed to be edited by me. what i did was, select the skin i made, search for 1 because im able to edit it, and select the skin made by someone else and search for 0 until i narrow down the addresses and freeze it at 1. But its not working this few days, and there has not been any patch recently. I'm able to freeze it at 0, and im not able to edit the skin made by myself, but when i freeze it at 1, im unable unlock the buttons to edit the skin made by others.

I apologies for my english. Much help needed here.

Thank you.

Most likely the address where you lock/unlock that skin editing availability
is DMA. The value 1 and 0 should remains intact since you said there were
no patches...

Try to re-scan for its new address instead of using the old one from your
MHS table..

I dont save my address down in MHS tables. What i did was rescann whenever i need to use it. Is there anyway to track it down to the actual address?

There should be some mistakes or you might have missed something since
how the values (0 and 1) working were suddenly changed without any
patches or whatsoever... No idea at all..

BTW, If you meant for pointer there are some tutorials or discussion about
pointer in this this Tutorial Sub-Forum
