Run in kernel mode.

Postby jeremywilms » Sun Mar 16, 2008 3:16 am

In my attempt to debug files such as WarRock and COD4. The game crashes, and I am well aware that its because the debugger isn't running in kernel mode. Is there a way I can run the MHS in kernel mode?

That or :

Theres an error, When ever I try to locate what writes to a certain address, the game crashes.

MHS always runs in kernel mode but the debugger is not kernel. There is not yet any way to debug kernel routines with MHS.

Other problems are caused by the game and its protections.

Are you planning on adding such features? If not, explain.

What kind of advantages we would have
if the debugger runs in kernel mode ?

Thanks in advance...

You could debug kernel-mode functions but kernel-mode debuggers are extremely easy to detect (surprisingly no anti-cheat companies have figured it out yet but that must be because they don’t know how to make them).

Well, I know I don't post much, but I do use your software. Thank you very much.
