So, this is not really a client-side stats editing as you said.
You explore a bug where the stats are added once an item is equipped and not subtracted once the item is released. This is a flaw in the game protocol which allows you to put the game in an inconsistent state. But this is not just editing the stats value as said in the beginning of the topic that makes you have such a defense. It just allows you, by editing your honor, to use it in that specific jewelry case, as it happened when it was possible to use other class' equips.
If you just go ahead and edit your stats, they will not reflect on the game. I agree with speedwing when he says things you can't change cause are server-sided. What you shown was fooling the server, so the damage is server-sided thru a flaw in the game protocol.
