you can do it the same way as of LoA, I explained that already in the LoA
section. Do a search for mutex or process explorer and you will find it.

when you open process explorer, the window will be divided into 3 parts.
Upper left part = process tree, upper right part = process details,
lower area will display all the "open files, ports, mutants, semaphores, .."

After launching cabal from the c: drive, find the cabal process in the upper left tree, click on it and then scroll through the bottom list till you get to the section where all the "mutant" are defined. It's almost certain that Cabal has a mutant. Right clikc the mutant and select close handle from the list.

Now you can open Cabal from your d: drive.

Some examples of mutant names;

the Razer mouse driver uses: \BaseNamedObjects\MUTEX_RAZEROFA
Guildwars uses: \BaseNamedObjects\AN-Mutex-Window-Guild Wars
skype: \BaseNamedObjects\SkypeMutex

Can it be that the actual game hasn't started yet ?
As I can see a \BasenamedObjects\CabalUpdate mutant...
(It kinda looks like you're still in a launcher or an 'update' tool and not the actual game...)

When i start cabal game itself it doesn't show up in process explorer that why i started process explorer on update tool cause that's the only time it's visible. :)
Here's my screen shot.

hmm, if cabal hides the process and it's resources, I don't have a ready made solution.
What you can do is do a search for mutex in the forum, and you should find a question I asked some time ago to have functions in LSS to close mutex'
You will have to write a breakpoint script to trap the creating of the mutex and the close it.

(I don't think I still have cabal installed.. perhaps if I find a bit of time, I will
take a look at it.. but for now your best bet is to script it in LSS)

L.Spiro, you know any way to display hidden mutex' without brewing a rootkit to detect the creation ?

I do not, except to hook its creation and destruction, which can be done with L. Spiro Script.
