Script doesn't compile in MHS 4.0.0.14 - Preprocessor failed

Postby daenerys » Sun Feb 17, 2008 7:46 pm

Hi Spiro,
first of all thank you for the wonderful work you are doing with MHS and sharing these all goodies what all of us. I am a real fun of you, I have to admit. I hope you are doing well....
Now to the issue.
I have an old script (it still compiles and works well with the old MHS demo 21) and I tried to compile it with the new 4.0.0.14 (so basically I want to "upgrade" from demo 21 to 4.0.0.14) but the compiler is giving always the following:
"ERROR: Preprocessor failed. Compilation is still possible if no macros or includes are used."
I am not using any macros or whatever what would be relevant for the preprocessor (actually in the demo 21 there was no preprocessor available at all)...
I can send you directly the mentioned script in order that you can try to compile it if necesary. Just tell me your address...
Thanks again,
daenerys

You should send the script. My e-mail is on the site.

Demo 21 was years ago.

Nevermind, I found the error

Nevermind, I found the error :D
Some escape characters (0x7, 0x5 etc) in my script obviously caused the preprocessor to go berserk. After deleting them, the script compiles 1A.

Thanks anyway,
danny

That’s the solution I would have found 6 hours from now when I would have tested it.

I have been quite busy and that would have been my first chance to run your files.
