same happens with me.. when I launch MHS4.0.0.13, I see one of my cores go to 100% and then my PC locks up... (quad core, windows Xp SP2 32bit)

UPDATE: Okay, I switched off every service running on my comp that isn't need; no virus scanners, firewalls, etc.. still nothing.. one core starts running something like crazy, goes up to 100% usage and then the PC locks up. I don't even see the MHS window..

I did remove all the old MHS files.. if it helps, the MHS exe crashes before it has the chance to extract the dll's..

And same with me now. I know that not everyone is having trouble cuz a friend of mine is experiencing no problem.

Is it the fact that i am using a dual core AMD processor?

I'm not sure, but I think so..

Both my laptop and desktop have multiple cores, so I don't have a way to see if that is the problem.. :\

It is not locking up.
You just need to wait a while. Anyway I will fix this now and release in a few seconds.

It is uploaded.

I have multi-core CPU’s as well as single-cores, from Windows® XP to Windows® Vista.
All of them lock up for a moment but all recover shortly after.

If yours failed to recover, the problem was most likely the “AMD + multiple cores” combination, which is the only combination I was not able to specifically test. I removed 3 lines of code to fix this; it will no longer stutter at the start.

30 minutes is reasonable for loading software.

Right?

i got 512mb ram(2 X 256), 2.99 ghhz, pentium 4, windows XP SP2.

after arround 3 seconds it just stops, and i tried 1 hour and my pc still didnt done anything, so if u could make and upload to 4.0.0.12 it would be fine so i at least can use MHS =/ ( i deleted my old MHS files)

I'm sure L. Spiro is going to fix it. He said he will...

But if you feel necessary to use the older version, they are still
download-able, from Memory Hacking Software front page:

http://www.memoryhacking.com/

Click and download any version you want....

Right?

On windows ? I wouldn't be surprised :D

I still have the lockup with the new version.. same thing as the old one..

Any idea what could be causing this ? I don't mind trying out stuff on my comp.. just nuked all the services, I'm about to try it in safe mode and see what it does.. but seeing as there are not many people reporting issues, I'm still putting my money on a multiple core problem.
(SLI shouldn't have anything to do with it, right ?)

BTW: it's an XP SP2 32 bit, with an Intel quad core 3Ghz on an Asus striker 680Nforce board, if that helps.. Any hints are welcome :-)
