More advanced targetting techniques

Postby Faulrn » Tue Jul 18, 2006 1:12 pm

To implement a more efficient way of targetting hidden processes would make this memory editor extremly popular. Currently there is no way to target a process after it has been hidden. For example: Rakion. The rakion.bin is hidden. It cannot be found with Memory hacking software after it is hidden. I'm sure it can be targetted but once in game you cannot search for anything. It simply won't let you.

Somehting else i found. When i try to target Rakion.bin it will do an automatic reboot.

Yes, the new kernel-mode driver should fix all of this, and more.

But it is a few releases away, as I have to finish the details on the scripting first, but on that note, in order to perform the external function calls in the script, I need to have the kernal-mode driver already working, so the good news is that the driver has been placed into higher priority.

I will begin working more on the driver after the next release (3.0.0.6 Pro).

3.0.0.8 has a kernel-mode process finder which can indeed detect Rakion, however the driver is not yet fully integrated into Memory Hacking Software, so the kernel-mode features for opening/working with the process after it has been detected isn’t available yet.

But it’s on the list (Search button).
