Problem running MHS with Tribes 2

Postby Volamn » Wed Feb 11, 2009 7:33 pm

Hello,

I used to use MHS for tribes 2, I'd open MHS, load values, then open tribes 2 and than open process tribes 2 with in MHS.

However now, when I open process I get <unknown> opened by Spiro etc.....
and I cannot change values at all. It use to open Tribes2 opened by Spiro
and I could mess around with values, but now I get unknown all the time.

I read it was due to when the process is unaturally hidden.

What does that mean? How do I fix it?
Thanks for your help

Tribes 2 has no protection. It should work normally unless you are on a 64-bit operating system.

I actually am on a 64-bit operating system. I use Vista 64-bit because of my processor and my 4GB of RAM. (32-bit only supports 3,3GB RAM). Is there a walk around for your MHS to work? I don't really want to have to change to a 32-bit OS.
Thank You.

I have never used it on a 64-bit operating system.
Someone who has will have to answer.

Anyone have a solution to bypass the 64bit OS?

L. Spiro, you should maybe think of making a version that supports 64-bit OS.

Most of the new processors on the market require a 64-bit OS, and 4GB RAM PCs also.
More and more people are switching these days, and a MemoryHacking that supports these OSes might come in handy.

It may happen sometime in the future, but I am so uninterested in this project anymore that I visit my own forums less than once per day now.

Source code is available for $200. That will be the fastest way to get any new updates.

T_T Gahh.. Just know this : I support you and MHS all the way. Obviously, you are a person, and you're entitled to your own life. Breaks are good, but dropping MHS project completely would be very sad.

However, MHS is fully functional as far as I can tell, and I won't find all the intricities of the program for a while, even without you adding and updating.

Just consider this : like said, breaks are good ~ take a long vacation. Change updates from once every 2 months to once a year, or whatever. Just don't drop MHS please.

How much would donations convince you to continue with releases? Or at least a release that has support for 64-bit systems? I have a laptop with a 64-bit OS and would love to be able to use the program on it.

Money won't buy love.

If L.Spiro just doesn't want to update MHS anymore, but regretfully does so because he recieves donations.. Then his heart won't be in it. And when your heart isn't in a project, the project turns to ashes very quickly.

Send me a computer running a 64-bit operating system and I will add 64-bit support. It is probably not too hard since MHS natively works with 64-bit addresses anyway.
