MHS Shortcut key bug?

Postby Fukc » Mon Apr 14, 2008 8:45 pm

I had an shortcut set on Ctrl + F in MHS. Which made Ctrl + F key useless in other programs.

By useless i mean, it didnt do anything. (i think i had it set on beep, lol)

The reason im reporting this is because if you have a shortcut key in one program, it shouldnt affect other programs if those are highlighted. Example notepad, firefox, msvs..

Im not sure though, maybe Spiro wanted it to be this way. :p

i agree. its probably possible using LSS script. at least thats the answer im always givin when i make a hotkey suggestion.

i think i read something in the scripting section of the help file... script events or somethin like that. theres a table of everything and some stuff can be on a per-process thing. lol shows how much i know eh.. im still tryin to learn LSS myself.

VOID On_HK_*_#( DWORD dw1, DWORD dw2 )

the asterisk is replaced with the name of the current process, in all upper-case characters and with non-alphanumeric characters replaced with underscores.

This allows a single hotkey to perform different operations (or to perform nothing at all) based on the current process that is opened.

From the 'script events' page in the helpfile.

(you will need to attach the script to the hotkey and not the BEEP command)

Use Polling Method.

MHS does not disable the key for other programs, Windows® does.
