Bug: Entry point not found? [4.0.0.15]

Postby Angelicus_Malus » Wed Mar 05, 2008 8:39 am

I just stumbled across this site and, MHS sounded so utterly and amazingly awesome, I just had to try it. Unfortunately, after downloading MHS 4.0.0.15, and unzipping it, when I double-clicked MHS.exe, I got the following error message and the program died:
Code: Select all
-------------------------------------------------------------------
MHS.exe - Entry Point Not Found                             [x]
-------------------------------------------------------------------

(X) The procedure entry point GetProcessId could not be located
in the dynamic link library KERNEL32.dll.

                         [    OK    ]

-------------------------------------------------------------------

(Yes...I drew that...I'm bored. So sue me. ¬.¬)

Anywho, comp stats are as follows:
Code: Select all
Windows XP Pro Corprate SP1
Intel Pentium 4 CPU 3.00GHz
512 MB RAM

I'm dying to try it out, and since I doubt it's supposed to do that, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Your kernel32.dll does not export GetProcessId() which is used by MHS.

It is supposed to be implemented by Windows XP and higher. You can get a new Kernel32.dll via a service pack (2 is standard) or installing some patches via their auto-update.

MHS uses this only in one place so I will handle this case in the next release.

Oh pooh...SP2 killed my comp last time I tried to get it... *pouts*

Oh well, I guess I'll see if I can find a patch elsewhere or something and wait for the next release. Thanks.

*waddles off to scour the net, muttering about Microsucks* ^_^
