suggestion: site addy

this suggestion is for the forums. i think the pic in the top left corner should be a link to the main site. theres a link to the index just below it in text so why do u need 2 links to the same place right next to each other?
i get msg all the time of ppl asking how to use my .lssave file cuz they dont realize this is a child forum to the main site. it seems like that pic should be a link to the main site anyway, i always thought it was kind of weird that it wasnt.

it's a standard for phpBB to link the forum image to the root of the forum..

But I do agree with you, I get a lot of requests like that too, people that don't know there is a main site and only know about the forum.. Would be nice for it to point to the main site.. I would hate people have to download MHS through some weird megaupload site and get their PC infected with junk..

@L.Spiro: go to the templates folder of your forum.
Find the file overall_header.tpl and change the line:

<td><a href="{U_INDEX}"><img src="templates/subSilver/images/logo_phpBB.gif" border="0" alt="{L_INDEX}" vspace="1" /></a></td>

replace the {U_index} with the URL you want it to point to.. (you mighthave another templates theme folder there, but it's the same deal for each theme)

if that doesn't fix it, you are most likely using the simple_header.tpl and you should edit that one instead.

when u mouse over the logo, it still says "Memory Hacking Software Forum Index". it might be kind of misleading to a newcomer since it links you to the main page and not the forum.

main thing is that the image now points to the front page instead
of the forum index page..

I can figure out where to change the 'caption' of the image, if L.Spiro needs it.. but it seems only minor to me.

it doesnt bother me at all, im happy with it bein a link to the main page. since he did that.. i hardly ever get msg on how to use my lssave now. im lovin it.
i just noticed yesterday when the pic didnt load up and it said forum index so thought i would mention it so somebody can fix it whenever they get a chance.
