Half life 2 health address weirdness

I've been trying to hack Half Life 2 lately and have noticed that it has an interesting setup as far as health goes where it has 3 addresses that are static but do squat as far as being helpful when trying to keep the health at a certain level, and four that bounce around to a different place every time the game gets a loading screen and/or loads a new level, I just thought that anyone else that wants to hack this game might want to know this.

Yes its pretty strange...awhile back i tried making hacks for offline Half-Life 2, for the story mode, and i noticed this...i was too lazy to try and look for the health routines so i just searched, found the one that that really controls the health and set it to 9999+ and then went back to the game, saved, and it would stay...

Im pretty sure this "weirdness" is due to the memory addresses changing every so often, as what happens because of DMA...

lock the static values that change when the hp drops or gets higher
all of them. cause in CS there are like 100+ adresses so you need to lock all of them to 100 byte

*didnt try it at Half Life but i think its common to CS*

i had a similar issue when hacking conquer online .. health value would jump between n locations and be in x variations, 2 bytes, one variation would be to split and put each byte somewhat far away from eachother(bastards) .. i figured it was some anticheat measure so i fired up ollydbg and found the switch and jmp'd the first case and voila, health stayed in same place.
same was the case for other key resources.
