Linux users are often described as hackers. This doesn't mean they maliciously break into computers or write viruses. It's simply using the word "hacker" in its original sense from the 1970s, when it described a computer enthusiast who was interested in exploiting the capabilities of computers. Many of these people started out as hackers. Examples are Steve Wonziak and Bill Joy.

The word "hacker" is believed to derive from model train enthusiasts who "hacked" train tracks together as their hobby. When computing became popular in the early 1970s, several of these people also became interested in computing, and the term was carried across with them.

However, in recent times, the media has subverted the term "hacker" to apply to an individual who breaks into computer systems, this was based on ignorance. Many true hackers found this offensive. Because of this, the term "cracker" was invented to clearly define an individual who maliciously attacks computers.

So if someone tells describes him/herself as a Linux hacker, or tell you that he/ she has spent the night hacking, don't worry. Many LInux types use this as a badge of honour.

I can't even count the times i got banned,I know i got banned exactly 50 times a day on a cabal server 2 days ago.

I created 30 freaking accounts and 27 were banned . But i didn't complain. Yours ban only so few accounts, shouldn't be sad.
