MHS Rated Red by McAfee SiteAdvisor

Postby yozod » Sun Sep 06, 2009 11:14 pm

Why is MHS rated red by mcafee? It doesnt have dangerous downloads, GZN has them but they have a green rating lol. Has anyone noticed that? I have to add it to my trusted list so I can enter.

The amount of false-positives given by McAfee, either by the SiteAdvisor or the AV engine, should warrant a complete overhaul of their methods. But they won't do that. Many people have submitted info to them about sites, but they have done nothing about it. So, screw them.

[Psych] SiteAdvisor is a failure... but McAfee itself isn't.

I beg to differ. But that's just my opinion formed from my experience of them. An all round decent AV would be something to the tune of NOD32. I can tell you have had no issues with McAfee, and my post wasn't intended as a complete McAfee bash. Just my two cents is all :)

owh sorry, well I really like McAfee beause the layout is clean, if I compare it to Norton or Kaspersky I can control the firewall and virusscan a lot better.

My site is red because of the two award images from SoftSea.

No. McAfee has detected unwanted software on SoftSea before so linking to SoftSea makes my site red.

McAfee is the worst Antivirus out there. It's BARELY any better than Avast and AVG. Don't pay attention to McAfee's bullshit.
