What is the real definiton of a "Game Hacker"?

Postby SpeedWing » Fri Aug 28, 2009 6:07 pm

my opinion: someone who finds hacks which don't exist yet for that specific game.
If someone makes a trainer with an address logger(that he did not make himself), then I can't call him a hacker.

players who use hacks in a game are just cheaters not hackers.

Well,a game hacker would be someone who could ,unpack a exe and modify it by his own free will, decrypt /encrypt packets(Writing a own proxy to do it )
modify/edit game .dll files to start own .exe's before the game actually does,a person able of deparenthising the .exe right after the anti-cheat call launches.
Personally,I can't think about memory editing as hacking.

It does call hacking cause you edited the dll while is not the original.

That’s quite relieving then since everything i did has almost always been memory editing and i actually quite hesitated for others to address me a game hacker. I am far from that. However, i believe that memory editing is one of many basic things for game hacking...

As for hackers, they are very much different from game hackers with only few things in commons:

Anyway, i did asked similar question in this forum which L. Spiro answered me kindly:
