I don’t know yet, but you can at least be sure it will either be free or available for purchase, one of the two.

I showed it to the general manager of Panasonic today and he liked it (given how it looks after only 2 months of development). He is interested in some 3D technology for a project of his and wanted to see it. If my engine gets picked up by him or another large company, then it may not be for sale nor free, ever.

DirectX Engine

Updated.
10% faster.
Basic collision detection (ray from camera collides with AABB of objects).
Instancing.
No memory leaks.
100% stable.
Resizable window.

In this demo, a single model is loaded and then instanced 10 times. Each instance is placed randomly. The bounding boxes for each instance are shown when a ray cast from the camera intersects them.

Upon beginning, your first mission will be to find as many of the objects as you can and look at them so that their bounding boxes will appear.

The scene and objects will change periodically. As a test, feel free to leave it on over night. It will load objects near 1,000 times.
In the morning you will find that it is still running smoothly and is using the same amount of RAM as it was in the beginning.

It is not for purchase—it is free for now.

Double-click the executable file in the release folder.
It does fun things.
