I got a good photo of the drawing and there is a bit more done so it is time for an update.

More hair added and the lips finally finished except for a few touch-ups. With this photo you can actually see the texture of the skin on her left cheek instead of the grain of the paper.

I have a long weekend after today and no school so I should get a lot done soon.

Now at about 40% completed (not including the background), 31 hours so far. I expect 150 hours total.

Do you also put a grid in the photo reference ?

Curious here...

The reference is digital. I apply a grid with Photoshop (gridlines and rulers) and I can enable and disable it as I please.

It gets in the way a lot so I mostly draw without it and use existing features as references rather than the grid. I do keep it on my paper just in case, and I use it at the start when I move to a new area.

Got a good picture of it so time for an update.

Not much to say about it, other than I hope all can enjoy.

This will be on sale when finished for about $1,500 (price subject to change without notice until it is finished).

US$ 1.500 !?!?!
That could feed me for 1 full year !

Seriously, for US$ 1.00 in my hometown,
you’ll get a complete food package along
with any drink...

US$1 x 3 (times per day) x 365 (days),
that would be US$ 1095... You’ll still have
over US$400 to spend..

Then I won’t be expecting you to buy this.

By the way, road food in Bangkok comes at $0.50 per meal, only sometimes $1.00, so it ends up being even less than that. But who can stand to eat that all the time? I need the $3.00 Double Cheeseburger sets from McDonald’s®.

Both of her eyes are drawn correctly. If there is anything unusual about them it is because she was doing that for the shoot.

Those are lovely-exotic eyes... I’ve met girls with that kind of eyes..

By the way, Big Mac price is $1.25 ~ $1.50 in here.. That is still half-
priced of McD’s Double Cheeseburger.

Many have asked me to make a video already but I do not have the equipment to do so.

But I think the style is pretty straight-forward: Draw what you see and take the time to get it right. That means the right values at the right spots.
