Okay well I can hack the single player version quite easily lol i was able to do the easy stuff, edit my experience, money, level, stats, skill points, etc... I got lvl 98 in 3 kills with EVERY skill maxed in the game lol... yea =D its nice...

Was just wondering if I can get the single player version so easily why is it so hard to do the online version? because lots of the values are on my cp 0o ?

In multi-player/online, server responsible for all values calculations which means that real values are stored in server...
So, any attempts to change values from clients are useless.

I’ve never played Diablo II online but LAN multi player. As i can remember,
players use their single player mode savegame characters in multiplayer
mode. So if you have hacked your character in single player mode, it will work
in multi player mode.

My method for hacking my speed and attack speed were modifying attributes
of my equipment. For example, if i have shoes with +2 movement speed, then
i modified this +2 to +20 speed. Same way applied to attack speed.

But it was long time ago (around 2002-2003) that i forgot how did i do these.
Anyway, Diablo II is an excellent game...

lol yea, I just recently edited all my stats to 100k lol and my skill levels were at 99, but I cant seem to get them to stay lol, even if i do the skill points legitly (not locking them) it wont go any higher than 1023 (all my SP are at 1023 atm) ...

Would it be possible to edit with MHS or would i have to find another program to edit my items with?

Also I sorta found the run speed (from switch back and forth between run and walk then searchng blahblah ya u know how) anyway lol umm... yea I locked it at like 255 byte and when i do that I always run (even if i switch between run and walk) which means I have the right value but, It wont go anyhigher than the Run speed in the game... which sux lol. I have yet to attempt the Casting Rate ...

There was version which allowed the stat points go beyond 100k. But it
then patched in Lord of Destruction 1.09 or 1.10 to max 1023 stat points
like you said.

Obviously then, in normal playing there is no way to get such high stats... Xp

It is very possible to edit Diablo II items with MHS. Cause i did some with
much much weaker app than MHS (it was 2002)... It is not going to be easy
though.

There are also Diablo II savegame editor which allow you to edit anything
easily. Try to find some in google with this keyword "Diablo 2 Editor".. But,
hey, that would seriously spoils the fun of your hacking, right ? XD

That’s because you found the run/walk switch address, not movement speed
address. You have to put any equipment with movement speed bonus and
start searching the values with that equipment on and off. Search for unknown
starting value then increase/decrease or different/same from before...

I can still lock my stats at 100k and beyond but I would have to do it everytime i log in. So its still possible it just wont save :P

Sweet but one thing, would I have to use the hex editor in order to edit the stats on items? And how would I find the values of the items in my inventory/on my char... I've never really played around with this.

lol... i feel like an idiot for not thinking of that ... haha thx tho..

Also, I managed to edit my skills to lvl 99 but they only seem to appear once and a while, I noticed though that in act 4 when i go to kill diablo and one of the mage thingies that gaurd him put a buff thingy on me (looks like lightning around my feet) was the only time I ever had lvl 99 skills ... =/ weird lol im still looking into it

That is a good trial anyway. I was too afraid the game going to crash to do so...

Do the 100k stats (Strength, Dexterity, Energy, Vitality) affect your other
corresponding stats like health regeneration, max health, attack, etc ?

As far i can remember, there are some corresponding stats which would
affected only if we increase the main stats (STR, DEX, VIT, ENG) manually
by pressing the “Plus” icons to raise your stat...

flappy wrote:would I have to use the hex editor in order to edit the stats on items? And how would I find the values of the items in my inventory/on my char.

Most likely you have to use Hex Editor to do it. Values of item attributes
often stored close to each other in RAM... It's not gonna be easy though...

Try this to find items values:
1. Try to get at least 2 items with same dimension (eg 1x1 square like Scrolls/Potions)
2. Put item A as starting item to the upper left corner of your inventory slot.
3. Start Search, Byte, Enable “Same as Original” Sub Search.
4. Get to the game, and change with item B
5. Sub search "Different from Before"
6. Get to the game, and change with item A
7. Sub search "Same as Original"
8. Repeat step 4 until you get as few as possible address in Found Address window
9. Study the found address in Hex Editor

Hope this works...

Again, i never try this before. I was too afraid the game would crash.
Good idea anyway.

Anyway, it’s been quite a while since the last time i play Diablo II. So, i can
not be too sure if this post is valid... Sorry about that...

Only dexterity gets affected =/ i get around 30k defense lol with a mage though, so i just edit that so i dont die. The rest as you said only gets affected if I edit it manually, next i think im going to try and edit the health and mana values. =D

hmm... i guess ill have to mess with it. I'm not too good with the hex editor though. Like you, im afraid I will edit something, save it and ruin the game for good =/ because I have no idea what the hell im doing lol

lol well I tried editing my health and I couldnt find the value lol ill try it by getting damaged when i get home. I tried by raising my stats which raised my max health so idk if that would work or not ill try it the right way later as i said millions of times! anyway lol

I tried messing around with the finding the Value of an object thing... yea spent about 45 minutes on one object and still had 18k values left getting rid of about 10-100 every 2 searches... lol so i just gave up on that ... All i did was what you said

had my inventory clear
put a belt (2x1 item) in one spot..
searched for unkown (enabled the "Same as Original" function
switched belts (from one in inventor to the one on my character)
searched for Different from before
Swapped again
Searched for same as original
and so forth...

Sound about right?

[EDIT]
I just realized that by switching the belt that was on my character would also keep searching for the stats that are on the belts... so it would give me MORE results that i should have ... giving me less of a chance to find the value BUT not 18k more restults lol
[/EDIT]

Quite right...

To reduce more results, you can do this thing that:
- Do not remove the belt from its previous slot
- Put other equipment that change your stats in other slot
then... search for “same as before” (that is when your belt is put on).

Hopefully, this would throw away those addresses that have something
to do with your stats...

In most cases, searching for unchanged values helps reduce lots of
result addresses...

It must be my poor-confusing-English... >.<

add this to your steps:
- put on other equipment (e.g. a helmet) with stats bonuses
- search for Same as Before
- put off that helmet
- search for Same as Before

Hopefully this would eliminate all addresses found that have something to
do with your stats...
