Probably not if they coded it correctly.

The data you seek should be on the server, so of course editing your RAM would do nothing but cause your game to lie to you about how much gold you have.

But you can stick around as you play more and more games.
As the site grows (and it is growing), more people will be inclined to help you, particularly if you are playing more modern-day games.

No.

You have to go to the server itself and put Memory Hacking Software on their computers.

I've done that before... the server was upstairs.

I know this is old, but...
There's always packet editting right? If you can modify the packes being sent to the server, then you would be able to modify the server values.

It doesn’t work that way.

You send a packet that says, “I picked up 500 gold.”
Server says, “WTF there is no 500 gold there to be picked up. Gold: unchanged.”

You say, “I am now at this position.”
Server says, “WTF you aren’t even holding up and moving to that position in a single frame would mean you traveled at 5,000 miles per hour. Position: unchanged.”

Etc.

Ah, true true. That seems to be an effective way to stop hackers, but how come WoW doesn't ever try anything like that? They still store vals on the client side, but other MMORPG's store it on the Server side. Is there any reason for this?

I don’t know where they store their values.

But storing them on the client comes from lack of experience, or overconfidence in your game defenses.

Blizzad is not inexperienced, so if they store things on their clients it comes from too much confidence.

Game makers are tempted to store values on the clients because it relieves the server of some work.
But naturally, no anti-cheat works, so storing things on the server is the only logical way to go, regardless of how much stress it puts there.
