halo combat evolved trial weapon hack

Postby forgottenD » Wed Oct 21, 2009 12:12 am

hi all,

i know im a bit noob, but i have a question.
i"ve been trying to hack the halo trial in the pas few days.
i managed to hack the bullets, so i now have infinite bullets for my sniper.
but now i want to hack how fast the weapon fires.
i have been trying to do this:
1) data type search: unknown
2) take machine gun weapon and sub search increased
3) take sniper and sub search decreased

and then do that over and over.....but it didnt work.

anybody got suggestions for me on how to hack the firerate of the sniper???

thank you for your time :D

maybe this value is statically specified in a data structure of the weapon. So chances you have to search for the weapon name and the following bytes after its name (or before) are potentially the fire rate. To guess the structure, you have to see if some hex values near the found weapon's data structure match with what you can see in game. For example, ammo kind it uses, max ammo and maybe ammo damage.

This is just another approach to find the fire rate, just a suggestion for you to follow. Else, you can search on google to see if anyone else has changed this fire rate and see how they do it. At least you would know then how is it set: via a static data structure, or loaded to a specific place in memory upon weapon selection.

I hope it helps a lil.
