Give a noob a hand? (MHS)

Postby Modify » Mon May 10, 2010 2:42 am

I am of course a noob hacker, as the title states, I have hacked a few games, nothing too spectacular, just changed the money values and whatnot. I have been wondering tho, how do I change something like damage? I don't know how I would even find out what the damage currently is to change the amount. I'd also like to know if there's an easier way to find values that are visible on the screen without finding the 300 other hidden values in the code. If someone can explain one or both, preferrably in depth of you have the time, it would be much appreciated. Props to L. Spiro, Great program :)

First find health.
Get hit. The amount of health you lose is equal to the damage dealt.
You can search for that number if it is unique enough, or continue.

Monitor what reads/writes yous health using Auto-Hack. An address will appear when you take damage. Follow that code to find out where it loaded/derived the value for damage.
