Finding the correct Values

Postby Garrack » Sun Oct 26, 2008 12:26 pm

Ok so I am completely new to all of this but I have read the "Help" file numerous times trying to make wind and understand what to do. I'm trying to Hack an semi new mmorpg and I am having trouble finding the correct values to modify. I am currently looking how to modify the Health, Attack and Moving Speeds and possibly the luck system. Ive searched using Data-Type search in "Byte" and "Char" in Unknown as it says that's the usual location for the values I'm looking for. For one am I doing it correctly so far? and next how do I find what values are what so I can sub search then modify?

First, sorry if i miss-understand your capability. But since you said that you’re
completely new then you may want to try to hack simpler games which are
single player and not multiplayer nor online games..

For ‘desperate mode’ in search and sub-search:
- Search for Unknown Byte
- Sub-Search for Same As Before / Different From Before
- Also consider to use “Enable Same As Original Sub-Search”

When you search for values, your last result should always be a whole bunch of them (MAYBE 30 OR SO, unless you are really lucky). Spam the same as before search when you don't expect the value to change. SO keep trying to modify the values until you find the correct ones. And remember to save your file.
